An Elementor knowledge base is a help center or documentation hub designed visually in Elementor while the docs themselves are stored and organized by a documentation plugin. With EazyDocs, you drag the Multi Doc, Single Doc and Search widgets onto any Elementor page, pick a preset skin, choose which docs to show, and publish. Your writers keep editing docs in WordPress, and your designers keep full control of the layout.
This guide explains which EazyDocs widgets to use, how to build the page step by step, and which parts are free or premium.
Many WordPress sites already use Elementor for the homepage, landing pages and product pages. When the help center uses a different theme template, it often looks disconnected: different fonts, different spacing, a different header. Building the docs landing page in Elementor solves that, because it uses the same design system as the rest of the site.
The important part is separating design from content. Elementor handles how the page looks. EazyDocs handles the documentation itself: nesting docs and articles, live search, reader voting and the single doc template. When a writer adds a new article, it appears in the widgets automatically, so nobody has to rebuild the page.
EazyDocs does not require Elementor. It ships Gutenberg blocks and shortcodes as well, and the Elementor widgets are an optional extra for teams that prefer to design in Elementor.
The Multi Doc widget displays several docs on one page, which makes it the natural choice for a main help center page. It offers six display styles through the Preset Skin option. In the Content tab you choose which documentation to feature and in what order, and a Filter option lets you hide docs that do not belong on that page.
The Single Doc widget focuses on one doc and its child articles. Use it for a product page, a getting started page or a landing page for one product line. It comes with five preset styles, and in the Content tab you select the doc, control how many items appear, how they are sorted, and how the columns are arranged.
The EazyDocs Search widget places a documentation search bar anywhere on the page. You can set the placeholder text, choose an icon and add focus keywords that point readers toward important topics. The Style tab controls padding, typography, colors and borders, so the bar matches your brand.
The official guide to creating a Multi Doc page walks through the same widget settings with screenshots.
You can also design a custom search banner for single doc pages. Create a template under Templates in Elementor, design it, and save it. Then open EazyDocs, go to Settings, open the Doc Single tab and pick your template in the Search Banner layout dropdown. The new banner replaces the default one on the front end.
If you would rather start from a finished design, EazyDocs offers pre-made Elementor templates for documentation pages. The demo pages include a Book Chapter Tutorials page and Cool, Focused and Light knowledge base layouts. Import one, swap in your own docs and colors, and you have a complete help center in far less time than building from a blank canvas.
Templates are a good fit for agencies and product teams launching several help centers, because every site starts from a consistent, tested layout.
According to the official Free vs Premium comparison, the free plugin covers the core documentation features, including unlimited docs, drag-and-drop nesting and AJAX live search. Some extras sit in paid plans:
Check the current plan details before you buy, because features can move between plans over time.
